The web conferences were very helpful. I was able to attend one and I truly enjoyed it because it made me feel like I was in the classroom setting. As students, we were able to talk directly with our professor and help answer questions to the concerns of our fellow peers. I like that web conferences give you a visual aspect as well as the ability to use instant messaging. Dr. Abernathy is very knowledgeable about her subject and was also willing to answer other concerns about future course requirements in upcoming courses.
This course was very beneficial to learning about creating multimedia videos. I learned how to use a program called audacity to record and edit sound. I also found out how to how to create and edit videos in Windows Media Live and post these videos to hosting sites such as YouTube. One of my favorite parts of the course was the group project. I learned to collaborate with my peers using Google Docs and communicate effectively online. My group members each took charge of their individual project phases and the finishing product was evidence of that once it all came together. This course was awesome and I hope to learn more about multimedia in the future.
